Hi, I'm getting a great "deal" on a 1979 B6100. I live in West Virginia and we have a house on 31/2acres of ex-pasture land. My Father-in-law who livesin California said I can have his tractor if I "just come get it". Well, I may be dumb but I ain't stupid - I'm hittingthe road in a couple of weeks to drive cross countryand back to get it.Can you all help me out with a few things understandingwhat I'm getting? He tells me it is a '79 B6100 4WD w/ 6 speed tranny. It has a B219 Kubota loader with 38" bucket,An EK-36 36" Ganon scraper, and a FS850 Kubota rototiller. Here are my questions:Is this a Cat 0 or Cat 1 3 point hitch? What type of hydraulic control is on the 3 point hitch,(lift only, position control, draft control)? What type of clutch arrangement is the PTO, (Trans driven, live w/ dual clutch or independent)?Does the Loader have double-acting hydraulics (i.e.both lift and down-force)?Ever hear of the "Ganon" scraper?I've never owned a tractor before, found discussions ofPTOs, hitches and hydraulics on the web and want to learn more so I can ask good questions of him whenI pick it up.Thanks for your help.

Bill, I'll try to answer some of your questions. I think the B6100 will have a category I hitch, lift only (without position control), don't know about the PTO type and clutch (believe it's a two stage clutch), the loader should be power up and down (double acting), and the Gannon scrapers have a very good reputation. It ought to be a nice little tractor that you get a lot done with. And where in West Virginia are you? My wife and all her family are from Princeton. ....

Thanks for the info, Bird. We're near Charles Town up in the eastern panhandle.
Yeah, I think the tractor is going to be real handy on my 3.5 acres. ....

I have a Kobuta B6100.
I think its 3 pt is a cat 0, too small but gets the work done.
It has a single clutch plate but its PTO has its own seprate 3 speed gear with neutrals between 1 and 2 and between 2 and 3. So its as good as indepen.
I have no experience with a loader on this tractor.
The FS850 rotavator is one great implement. Its used about 95% of the time my B6100 works.
